Another sunny, warm day helped towards making today's Three Phase Team Challenge a roaring success.
For those that have not been to this event before, we hope you enjoyed it and will consider coming again now you know what it entails (or maybe not now you know) - glitter and paint is not obligatory, but good fun.
Needless to say the winner's of best tack and turnout were the Only Fools on Horses team, who had spent so much time on their pink outfits that they didn't actually have time to practice the three phases!! However, it was a well deserved win as a lot of time and thought had gone into their outfits, and even though their horses looked rather disgruntled wearing the pink hair band, ribbons and pink glitter stars on their rumps, that did make a very smart team! Well done to you all - glad you entered into the spirit of the event.
The overall winners of the competition were the Moody Mares; moody by name but not by nature. It was a well deserved win with some excellent results from all of them, Megan Ward in particular who won the best individual score of the day so left the field covered in red rosettes a sash and a big smile on her face - an extremely good score Megan in all three phases - congratulations.
We had our very own photographer who was with us all day and hopefully she has caught some great action shots of all teams enjoying the day. Her name is Kim and you will find more details on her Facebook page KML photography.
We thank everyone taking part, whether competitors, helpers, volunteers, judges, we hope you enjoyed the day and the bacon butties (which went down a storm) and that you'll join us again for our last event of the season at Bramble Hill Farm, the Mini Hunter Trial on the 4th October or maybe for a few of our winter events when we move across to Bridge House.
Last but not least, I do hope that the lorry that had trouble starting at the end of the show finally got going and you're not still sitting there waiting to be rescued!
